Reading is one of my great passions. There are few things more pleasurable or exciting than reading an extraordinary book. Some books are just plain fun. Other books make a deep and lifelong impression on you and can alter the course of your life. The list below falls entirely and intentionally in the latter category. Although the list has grown, it was born out of an attempt to answer the question "if you could only give your children or friends ten books that had to last them a lifetime and would shape who they are, which ten would you recommend?" Indeed the list has grown, but the intent remains the same. If you want to up your game or buy your graduating senior a gift that will last them a lifetime, gift them a set of these books. I leave it to Amazon to describe each of the books and instead share with you, on this page, what you can get out of each book and why it made The List.
